GLEE!!!

“No, you should dream. New York is a place for dreamers. You should dream very, very  big and then you should work incredibly hard and make sure you do everything in your power to make it happen.”–Glee Season 4 Episode 3, The Make Over

Lately I got hooked up again with Glee, the TV series. I guessed because it is started airing here in Indonesia. We just reached Episode 3 but my knowledge and feeling and emotions are with all Americans, Gleeks and Klainers all over the world. Thanks, or No Thanks, to the internet and social medias!

Me and my friends were discussing about the new season a while back. Hating the fact that life goes on and that all the glee members should go on with their lives. We wished that the series would not get so real that Ryan Murphy and his writers made them all moved to New York and be like Friends, one of the best TV series ever created! However, tonight’s episode brought entirely new  breath to Glee.

Mr. Monk and His Badge

One of the surprises I got for my last Christmas holiday came from my cable TV provider, Indovision, they gave a free trial for some channels. One of the channels was Universal Channel. Yay! My TV package did not include Universal Channel hence I was so happy because I can watch Monk and Criminal Minds.

Mr Monk

Just now, I watched some of Monk episodes. I forgot the title but I made my own, Mr Monk and his badge. Mr Monk was a detective in San Fransisco Police Department. Oh! San Fransisco is a must see place. So beautiful! Anyway, He got Obsessive Compulsive Disorder when his wife Trudy (SFPD Captain’s sister) died in a car accident. Then he had to rely on his assistant and therapist to survive. He was good in solving murder problems that the PD hired him as a freelance consultant. But his all time dream was to get the gun and the badge and get back to the force.

Carpe Diém!

shadeHoliday is almost over. Bummer. But I am very ready to embrace what lies ahead. All the blacks and whites and grays and all other colours of life that are ready for me. Available for me to use in my colour pallette to paint my world beautifully.

I made some promises to myself. Kind of promises which I always fail to keep. People call them resolution.  So far, after 11 days, I still remember them but have not made any progress in acomplishing them. Do you make promises to yourself this year? Well,  354 days to go! 🙂 One that I am going to share you is to seize the day. I don’t have photogprahic memory and in fact I kinda lame with memory. Some events last year that I can recall mostly because of the photo I took, or post I wrote or feeling I felt. So, I promise myself to do thise things more. So at the end of the year, I will feel than I indeed have 365 days in this year.

See you soon, blue sky and green bushes. In no time, we’ll be together again. At the mean time, seize the day!

There is no darkness at all

Do you prefer to sleep with lights off or with lights on?

Well, for certain I am the later one. I don’t  like to be in the darkness. Especially darkness which I cannot control. Among those darkness are black out and eclipse. But the most terrifying darkness for me is the total and eternal darkness of  sin. That’s why, as a Christian, I am longing to be in The House of The Lord when there is no darkness at all.

Last Sunday was the first Sunday in the new year. I had an awful start of this year. So I came reluctantly and almost without hope. Almost. There I was, when  I thought nothing could cheer me up. His Words soaked in my mind, a short and simple sermon from 1 John 1-4.

Ciputra Hotel, Semarang

What is a journey without a destination?

welcome drinkWe finally arrived at our destination, Semarang. We were really tired due to the long road trip and several sightseeing. We were welcomed with a heavy rain making our heart longing to arrive at our hotel and refresh ourselves. It took us quite a time to get to Simpang Lima, a roundabout where our hotel was located. You know, there would always be trafic congestion whenever rain down in any part of Java island. A fact that I just knew about.

Thankfully, our hotel, Ciputra Hotel was easy to find. Just right when we entered the roudabout we can already its distinct building figure in one of the corner of the Simpang Lima. It had exact figure with Ciputra Hotel Jakarta. I would not miss it in any way. And just like its branch in Jakarta, this hotel was also in the same lot with Ciputra Mall with direct passage from hotel to mall. We arrived and welcomed with a fresh tropical drink, tipical of any five star hotel in Indonesia. We were refreshed in an instant.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

image

It’s two thousand and thirteen people! Just when I thought I would not make it, the years slipped by quietly.  This year me and my family celebrated the new year with a slice of rainbow cake with a hope that in each layer be a reminder that whatever colors life would be ahead, they would  be just beautiful colors of a rainbow. And even if there would be more rain than sunshine, may I would be reminded that there woukd always be a rainbow at the end of any rain.

Grab a slice. Life is just beautiful nonetheless.
