It is my right not to be an atheist.
This is happening: That people start to say sorry to me whenever they mention christianity, christian, Christ, Jesus in the most blasphemous way they could possibly do.
But what got into my head is that probably I need to be more open minded, compasionate and have high acceptance of what they are doing. They have been living this way for the rest of their lives and suddenly come someone from asia who is religious and they feel that what they do (curse, swear, use certain symbolic words) is somehow misplaced, maybe because they see how my face turned into cold stone or how my pupil dilated or simply how my jaw dropped. I’m serious, sometimes these european people, oh gosh, how to put it into words, they are horrendously heartless. It is your right to be an atheist. But remember, it is my right also to be religious. So next time you see me reacting like J.S. Park below, be in mind that we have the same equal rights.
Cooking in Denmark: Spicy Bacon
Surviving in Denmark requires high ability of doing things that you’ve never thought you’d do. Especially when it comes to food, ingeniously is important ingredient. And since I finished all my asian spices and food, I just have to acrobat with things I could find in Netto.
So, I made stir fried spicy bacon. And surprisingly it was great. But my friend said that you could not go wrong with bacon. :p
NH Villa, Bilbao, Spain
This is the hotel where our program coordinator arranged for us to stay. And I have to say this to you. This is beyond expectation. It’s a treat. Especially for us, scholarship students who always have our budget tighten for every aspect of our lives. Since it was all paid by the university, I could not give objective review on this hotel. But my experience was excellent.
Universidad De Deusto
Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Spain for the first time. Thanks to Erasmus program! 🙂 So, because I am enrolled in a european masters program, I should continue my program in another european university for my 3rd semester which will be in Spain, Basque Country, the city of Bilbao to be exact.
All are welcome!
So, few weeks back, a friend of mine said in our group discussion, regarding of me having a lot of friends here in Denmark in a relatively short period of time. She pointed at how I could get my room in Copenhagen and it was for them a great deal to get a room for 3500 dkk in Hellerup. They were fascinated on how I could know someone from somewhere who knows a landlady that owns a vacant room. And the fact that I did not have prior knowledge of them whatsoever. Furthermore, she pointed at my cleaning job that I got from a friend that I knew from a church in Copenhagen. She bluntly said that we just need to be christian in order to have some sort of connection, link or networking, or whatever you wanna call it. According to her, I could have a good deal for my room and a job because I am a christian. At that point, I just laughed at her.
Blank Space
Have you seen Blank Space video clip from Ms Swift?
Oh dear… oh dear… She is so smartly insane! I love love love her video. Can you recall, when you first met a guy and then in split seconds you heard the sound in your head “Oh my God, look at that face. You look like my next mistake.” You can, can’t you. And the vivid image on what you are going to do to him when he screwed you up because you realize that he might just do that. Uh-hu. This video is all about that. wickedly genious Ms Swift. You have me in this one 🙂
The absence of light
I heard the absence of sunlight in Denmark would give you bad effects on your physical and mental being. My friend who has been living here for the past 10 years just called and she said whenever you feel tired when you did not do anything much or whenever you suddenly got depressed, you might be suffering the effects of the absence of sunlight. Wow. Maybe I am.
