Shepherd
Today was the last day of rehearsal for our Easter Concert, which is tomorrow!
Needing to hit some notes down, I came early to find that our choir director, our pastor, was still on his flight to Copenhagen from his vacation. I was stoned realizing it was a little over 10 and he was still not around. We were just a flock of few people who love to sing and fair to say that half of us could not sing let alone read note.
The awesomeness of God
if we will only entrust Him with our lives.
- those of the canary in 14 days;
- those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;
- eggs of ducks and geese in 28 days;
- those of the mallard in 35 days;
- The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
The Ring
I remember vividly the first time we met. You were staring at me from across the tables. I noticed you and told myself “heck, what is wrong with this guy, haven’t he seen a woman before?”. Then for some weeks you were away and you were forgotten. Until you came again. I saw you this time. You are someone with whom I could fall for. Then you came again and again. How to shake “it” off.
Being old (enough) amongst my friends in Copenhagen, I have this urge to point out some life lessons I’ve learnt during the discrepancy of age that I have with them. This one I adress how to shake “it” off. By it, I means anything and or everything that is or are undesirable in your head.
1. Take a good night sleep
Sometimes, the best cure is just rest. Those things and crazy ideas that are lingering in your minds might be lurking because you have not got enough sleep. Those are simply how your body is telling you that you need to sleep. Even when you woke up with reality that are the same, but trust me, you can handle them better after a good night sleep.
